Privacy Policy

01 / Information we collect

• Account information. If you create an account, we store your username and email address. Google sign-in provides the account details needed to identify you.
• Typing test results. Completed tests may include CPM, WPM, accuracy, language, duration, and timestamps.
• Public leaderboard results. Eligible server-validated challenge sessions and your username may appear on the selected language and duration boards. Only leaderboard fields such as username, language, duration, CPM, accuracy, and achieved time are shown publicly; private history and account details remain private.
• Local device storage. Guest results and preferences stay in your browser until you clear them or choose to add them to an account. Claimed guest history remains private-only for leaderboard eligibility.
• Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand visits, usage, and performance. For EEA visitors, Google Analytics storage is disabled until an analytics choice is made.

We do not collect payment information because Codestroke is free to use.

02 / How we use information

• To create and secure your account.
• To calculate and display statistics, history, progress, and eligible public leaderboard standings.
• To send account-related messages such as confirmation links.
• To understand performance and improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

03 / Service providers

We use Supabase for authentication and database services, Google for optional sign-in and Google Analytics 4, Resend for transactional account emails, and Vercel for hosting, Web Analytics, and performance monitoring.

These providers process information under their own privacy terms.

04 / Cookies and local storage

Local storage remembers guest progress, preferences, and your sign-in session. Google Analytics may use first-party analytics cookies when analytics consent is granted. Vercel Web Analytics uses aggregated, anonymous measurements. Codestroke does not use advertising cookies.

05 / Retention and deletion

We keep account data while your account exists. From your profile, you can clear your statistics or permanently delete your account, profile, session history, and stored results. Eligible leaderboard rows are derived from server-validated challenge sessions and disappear when the underlying account or session data is deleted.

06 / Children's privacy

Codestroke is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

07 / Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Codestroke changes. The latest revision date will always appear at the top of this page.
